Steinn McIntosh, Engineer At Ice Cream Sound Studios

Steinn McIntosh is a producer with years of experience closing a decade, who is currently working for one of the leading live sound companies in Los Angeles—Design Sound.
He is an AVID-Certified-Pro Tools Specialist who is very vast in all aspects of audio engineering, including recording, editing, mixing, and mastering. He has a great understanding of standard microphone types and their usage. He has learned and mastered the use of the art software in his career. He is also proficient in Studio Support and Social Media Administration.

Music has always been a part of his life, and being thrown into music from a very young age has created a burning passion and admiration for music in him from the onset.
This passion resulted in him taking an online course in music during the COVID-19 pandemic, when he discovered his passion for audio engines and production. This discovery led to his moving to Los Angeles to study Audio Engineering further. He was enrolled in the Musicians Institute, where he made the Dean’s list every semester before graduating with a 3.878 GPA in Audio Engineering and Artist/ Producer / Entrepreneur programs.

He interned at Sound Factory Studio and worked in the same environment with clients like SZA, Doja Cat, Marvin Gaye, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beck, Elliot Smith, and more. He also interned at Studio City Sound, where he was exposed to more notable clients.
After graduating from the Musicians Institute, he began working with a live sound company, Design Sound, in Los Angeles with notable clients like Apple, Google, Kim Kardashian, and more.
He also works as an engineer at Ice Cream Sound Studios, which has been a major turnaround in his journey. Working here has greatly impacted his career in terms of learning and bringing opportunities his way.

Other than the clients his workplaces have exposed him to in the past 5 years of his career, he has also worked with notable people like Designer, Lil Migo, FastCash C Money, FastCash Biggie, Skooley, ADHD, and many more.

Steinn McIntosh has been shaped into who he is today by his love and admiration for music. He believes music is a lifelong journey that should be important to everybody, whether as a career or a hobby. He also believes music has a way of bringing people together and creating a genuine connection between them. Another aspect of music that he loves is Escapism. He believes you can travel to both familiar and unfamiliar places through music. Raised by a single mom who instilled a sense of empathy in him, spreading empathy has been the driving force for everything he does.
