Multi-Talented Actress and Entertainer Amber Elizabeth
Amber Elizabeth was born Amber Horton on November 9, 1987, in Hammersmith, London, and found her calling very early in her life. She grew up in Farnham, Surrey, and spent hours in her parents’ video shop, “Take Two,” where she fostered her love for the film. She would watch iconic films such as What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, through which her passion for acting grew, and her admiration for Leonardo DiCaprio set her dream into motion. Although she didn’t go to stage school, Amber did all the local plays, like Cinderella and Jack and the Beanstalk, before she was even 12.
Amber’s vibrant personality and flair for communication made her a standout performer. She refined her abilities at Farnborough College after high school, where she studied performing arts and became proficient in dance, improvisation, and physical theatre. She was able to discover her actual purpose in TV and movies thanks to this varied schooling. After hearing her acting coach say, “You have a face for TV,” Amber followed her passion and enrolled at Pinewood Studios’ esteemed London Actors Studio, where she studied under acclaimed director Tim Kent.
Amber began to perform in comedy after her hero, Robin Williams, died, and she was launched into stand-up. She would regularly perform at The Backyard Comedy Club and Charlton House, naming stand-up the most challenging job she has done but simultaneously rewarding. Being part of the improvisation group “The Witnits,” she is still now bringing laughter and improvisation to people, though always staying with the thought that to make someone laugh or cry is an achievement.
After starring in a Samsung commercial, she launched her acting career. She appeared in several well-known TV series and movies, such as Mandy with Diane Morgan and Cuckoo with Taylor Lautner. Alongside Indian actresses Sayani Gupta and Preteik Babbar, Amber recently starred in the upcoming film Crash Course, which will premiere next year. She also experimented with voice acting in the computer game Not for Broadcast.
Amber’s artistic range goes beyond acting and comedy: She illustrated a children’s book during the lockdown and started working on a series called Moeuhane, a word in Hawaiian that means “dreams.” She is also a model, has walked for Imbodhi LA, and has worked with Easse Charging.
Amber is now getting ready to launch her podcast series, What Somebuddies Think, where she shares her experiences from London to Los Angeles while inviting listeners into her dynamic world of creativity and adventure. Amber’s story is about passion, resilience, and a deep love for storytelling.
