Q: How do you shut things out?
Ans: How I shut things out…. I go to music. If I can, the first thing I would do is go for a drive and blast some music, just cruising around clearing my head.
Q: What is your favorite song to belt out at the bar/in the car?
ANs: Body-Megan Thee Stallion, Taki Taki- DJ Snake, Selena Gomez, Ozuna, Cardi B, Save a Horse Ride a Cowboy- Big & Rich
Q: At what age did you start singing?
ANS: I started singing when I was 4 years old, taking singing lessons, as well as piano. I now wish that I had stuck with the piano too, but I didn’t, so that is on my to do list along with learning the guitar.
Q: If you could perform with anyone, in the future, who would it have to be?
Ans: Snoop Dogg!! Legit has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember, I always talk about it.
Q: What was the first tune you learned?
Ans: First ones I can remember are Barbie Girl- Aqua, Stop- Spice Girls, Oops I Did it Again- Britney Spears, and My Heart Will Go On- Celine Dion.
Q: How do you handle mistakes during a performance?
Ans: When I make a mistake, it catches me off guard for sure but I just keep going. Mistakes happen but you can’t let it stop you.
Q: Do you get nervous before a performance or a competition?
Ans: Absolutely, every time without fail. It can be scary at times, but every time I do it I get more and more confidence. And I believe nerves are a good thing, it’s like adrenaline.
Q: What advice would you give to beginners who are nervous?
Ans: My advice to beginners who are nervous, would be to try your hardest to believe in yourself. I’ve struggled with it over the years for sure, sometimes it’s hard, so I get it. But you have to believe in yourself to achieve what you want.
Q: How often and for how long do you practice?
Ans: I sing every day, but do legitimate practice a few times a week. On the days I practice, I will be there for a few hours, a minimum of an hour. I practice a lot more frequently these days because of COVID and having to quarantine/ social distance.
Q: Who are your favorite musicians? Groups? CD’s?
Ans: Morgan Wallen, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Shawn Mendes, Snoop Dogg, just to name a few.
